Another Luggage strap for our UK trip. Based this time off the heraldry of our home SCA Kingdom, Calontir.
Piece is of 10/2 Cotton. Total Cards 66. Pattern Cards 44. 45mm wide. Double-Face technique. Snip of GTT pattern below
For our upcoming trip to the UK (whenever all this COVID-19 nonsense is done) I decided to be a little extra with heraldic luggage straps for our four suitcases. This is for one of the small suitcases and features part of Vincent’s heraldry. As the suitcase is red, creating the strap as just the stripe made sense for the allusive heraldic look I was aiming for.
Project is 10/2 perle cotton. 40 mm with w/60 cards. Star Pattern is 38 cards wide. Snip of GTT pattern below. Double-face technique
That’s it for now.
A gift for my mother, Aine Nic Tallier, completed in Fall 2011. Mostly doubleface, but some of the details on the bunnies are embroidered over the weaving. Mostly bunnies, as the name suggests, but there’s one other who snuck in.
Woven as garters to give out as a Queen’s Favor for a friend. Sept 2011
Created August 2011, part of a mass project to make several sets of award ‘medallion’ garters to give out.
Created for a camping shower dress in the style of a norse apron dress. There are two separate pieces of trim here – Duckie trim across the chest and bubbles for the apron straps. Completed around 2011.
Made as a gift for Vincent’s Calon Cross at Lilies 2011.
Completed in April 2011, inspired by the night sky tassel belt base
